This potholder is made in four separate pieces which
is then sewn together and finished with crocheting a frame.
The two last rows are made in an alternate colour.
Row 1: 21 ch (chain stitches) and make a slip stich in
the first chain.
Row 2: 6 sc (single crochet) 3 sc in the same chain
stitch, 6 sc. End the row with a chain stich and turn the work around.
Row 3: 7 sc, 3sc in 1, 7 sc, 1ch turn.
Row 4: 8 sc, 3sc in 1, 8 sc, 1ch turn.
Row 5: 9 sc, 3sc in 1, 9 sc, 1ch turn.
Row 6: 10 sc, 3sc in 1, 10 sc, 1ch turn.
Row 7: 11 sc, 3sc in 1, 11 sc, 1ch turn.
Row 8: 12 sc, 3sc in 1, 12 sc, 1ch turn.
Row 9: 13 sc, 3sc in 1, 13 sc, 1ch turn.
Row 10: 14 sc, 3sc in 1, 14 sc, 1ch turn.
Row 11: 15 sc, 3sc in 1, 15 sc, 1ch turn.
Row 12: 16 sc, 3sc in 1, 16 sc, 1ch turn.
Change colour
Row 13: 17 sc, 3sc in 1, 17 sc, 1ch turn.
Row 14: 18 sc, 3sc in 1, 18 sc, 1ch turn.
When you fasten the threads I recommend that you leave
a long thread to sew together with, but only in two of the four pieces.
